A rare gig for the Luke Howard Trio, with Daniel Farrugia (drums) and Jonathan Zion (bass), they're back for a very special night of music. They will play music from their 2010 album "The Meadowlands" and some of their new compositions.
Luke has recently returned from Reykjavik and, in addition to the trio, is composing for the Luke Howard Ensemble and Magnolia.
Between the three of them they have played with the Grigoryan Brothers, Maddy Hay, Missy Higgins, Lior, Ian Moss, Doug Parkinson, and the Melbourne Symphony, amongst many others.
But tonight they explore their own fascinations and perform as a part of the Melbourne Jazz Cooperative's new year program.
