In early 2012 after much time travelling abroad, Melbourne based drummer Aaron McCoullough recorded his debut release 'Portrait Of Thoughts' featuring long time collaborators: Hugh Stuckey (Guitar) and Sam Zerna (Bass). The recording took place at Stuart & Sons Pianos in Newcastle where esteemed New York based Australian pianist Sean Wayland joined them as a special guest playing McCoullough's compositions.
This performance for the MJC marks the release/launch of the recording that took place with Wayland. The ensemble for this date will include the trio of McCoullough/Stuckey/Zerna with the addition of outstanding Melbourne pianist/composer Luke Howard.
