Bassist Christopher Hale and dancer/percussionist Johnny Tedesco, long-time associates from acclaimed flamenco dance company Arte Kanela, team up with guitar wunderkind Nathan Slater to perform original flamenco jazz with complex, passionate rhythms and swashbuckling virtuosity. For this gig the trio will be joined by Julian Banks on tenor saxophone.

The muse and angel come from outside us: the angel gives lights, the muse gives forms . . . But one must awaken the duende in the remotest mansions of the blood. And reject the angel, and give the muse a kick in the seat of the pants, and conquer the fear the of the violet smile exhaled by the eighteenth-century poetry, and of the great telescope in whose lens the muse, sickened by limits, is sleeping.
