The Vampires are finishing an extensive 16-show tour of the East Coast to promote the launch of their third album “Garfish” with this performance. With a new depth of improvised sophistication and world music cross-overs from Jamaica and South America, The Vampires have received critical acclaim and extensive radio support throughout Australia. 

The band features compositions by saxophonist Jeremy Rose (2010 Bell Young Artist Award Winner) and trumpeter Nick Garbett (National Jazz Award finalist). They are joined by the powerful and dynamic rhythm section of acoustic bassist Alex Boneham (2012 Bell Award for Young Australian Jazz Artist) and drummer Alex Masso.

The band received critical acclaim for their first two albums, have toured extensively around Australia, as well as performing at the Wangaratta, Melbourne and Manly Jazz Festivals, Peats Ridge Festival, Jazzgroove Futures Festival, SIMA Visions Festival and the High and Dry Festival. Last year they travelled to Canada to participate in the prestigious Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music, where they developed much of the material on their new album.
