John Hoffman, trumpeter/composer/educator, has played with the greats of jazz including Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen MacRae and Tony Bennett (to name the American few). Tonight he performs with his close Australian buddies Tony Gould (piano), Ben Robertson (bass), Steve Magnusson (guitar), David Beck (drums) and special guest Kristin Berardi from Sydney on vocals.

We are blessed with an annual performance from John and his close friends and each year we are refreshingly rewarded with an amazing night of beautiful classics lovingly restored and some Melbourne premieres of original works. The warm relationship that binds the musicians extends to the audience as a web of magical music infused with all the colours of a long and eventful friendship.
