Having launched their debut album The Leaves Stay Green with us in May, Kimba & Ryan return to perform a selection of original melodies and reworked standards, underpinned with a sense of longing, a whimsical ache and a loyalty to the jazz idiom.

Featuring classics I Hear Music, Round Midnight and Lush Life; Kimba & Ryan reveal a maturity departing from the light-hearted sound evident in their earlier EP’s Jazz Anthems for Taxidermy and We are Two in The Night. The Leaves Stay Green refers both to the evergreen nature of Kimba & Ryan’s fourteen-year musical partnership, as well as the enduring life of many of the rarely-played standards they cover, not to mention the new growth she has within.

The Leaves Stay Green shows Kimba & Ryan doing what they do best; hypnotising their listeners with dulcet vocals, melodious strings and swingin’ phrases; soothing the senses and making sweet loving music in both a duo and a septet form. Their live performances are known for their energy, humour and the immediate connection they find in their audience.
